3 Years 3 Months Jail For Redskin

On the 13th July 2004 the Karlsruhe district court, presided over by Judge Mueller, sentenced me to a (further) 3 year 3 month span of detention, whereby the sentence is cumulative with a sentence to 2 years and 2 months from the year 2000 (the end of the sentence is thus postponed to 2013, after which I should be in preventative detention).

I was charged with having insulted or threatened various prison lawyers and also politicians. The Bavarian interior minister Beckstein, the culture minister of Baden-Wuertemberg, Schavan, the Hessian prime minister Koch, among others, initiated the prosecution.
They felt themselves put on a level with fascism by the postal utterances .

Notable in the trial was, among other things, that the trial lawyer, one senior state prosecutor Zimmerman, represented the prosecution although he was involved in the charges as a plaintiff. A few days before trial date a forensic doctor from the university of Tuebingen visited me to get a picture of my fitness to stand trial. He attested that my physical and mental health was good, but on account of reduced ability to concentrate, due to long solitary confinement, recommended that for each 90 minuted trial there be a 15 minute break.

Mention should also be made of the, to my mind, inhumane manner of the conduct arrangements: without announcing it to me in advance it was forbiddento me to wear civilian clothes to trial. In the basement of the prison I was demanded by paramilitary-looking security officers, under threat of the immediate use of force, to strip naked, to bend, to spread my buttocks, raise my scrotum, so that I felt involuntarily reminded of the reports from Iraq about the treatment of prisoners in the notorious prison Abu Ghraib.

As I am stuck in solitary confinement, me and the cell searched daily, it was far from likely that I would introduce some sort of deadly weapon.

I forthwith had to put on prison garb and was handcuffed! I finally discovered the meaning of the term "handbag"; when the hands had been cuffed in a painful position (twisted, back to back), they were packed in a sort of plastic or nylon bag. This bag was straightaway tightly closed with laces, and tape secured around the wrists several times. Finally the bag was tied with a belt to my stomach. Foot fetters as well, and thus tied up I was informed by a security officer that a firearm would be used should I try to escape (whether they feared I could hop away like a rabbit eludes me) .

This trial has certainly not contributed to "influencing" me or illustrating to me the reasonableness of the justice/penal system, much rather it strengthens me in my (political) conviction that the need exists to unreconcilably and without false compromises stand up for a free and human form of society. In an imperialist-capitalist society, however, freedom and humanity are not to be realised!
